Now and Then

Now and Then…

My life gave me all,

The light, the power,

The storm, the showers,

The trial, the verdicts,

The quicksand, the hurdles,

The vision, the dreams,

Surrounding the stage,

These multi colors sprays,

Now and then.

I recognize them all

They come off and on,

Some big, some small,

Some rough, some soft,

Some in haste, some steady,

Some rowdy, some orderly,

Some too nice surprisingly,

These faces of life,

Now and then.

Attending them all,

With open arms,

Shooing away none; still,

Dodging a few stubborn ones,

Lost many games,

Many I won,

Inwardly gasp ,

As they continue to come,

Now and then.
