Love at First Sight

Love at first sight…

It was love at first sight,

The Rocky Mountains were by my side,

They hovered over far and wide,

The hills that did nothing but continue,

To keep growing tall and renew,

Bemused I stood still like a statue.

Observing the handsome rocks,

Glued me to them for many hours,

The clouds sailing through the hills,

The broad glaciers as though inbuilt,

The white silver lined peaks did instil,

A heavenly experience of the foothills.

I walked slowly towards them and felt,

A magnetic pull towards the greenbelt,

For bright yellow and purple wild flowers, I knelt,

And let my senses go wild in all respect,

The soothing winds scattering the petals away,

Heavens if existed were visiting me today.
